Featured Program

Revolutionary Farming for People and Planet is a 15 day permaculture and cooperative leadership program, in which participants develop the skills to apply environmental stewardship in everyday life. As a ‘living sustainability lab’, the project is hosted by a working farm and retreat center, Ananda Viplava, and combines agricultural workshops with spiritual study and cultural events around local food.

Who We Are

All the work is done by the monks and volunteers. Our farm participates in WWOOF-USA, a world wide program designed to link visitors with organic farmers and promote an educational exchange based around ecological farming practices. Participants in the program live and work on the farm. During that time they help with the manual labor and live the yogic lifestyle of the monks at our Ashram.

The Land

Our farm has been in production since 2014. We have 7 acres of flat land suitable for farming which is surrounded by 70+ acres of pristine forest with seasonal creeks and hiking trails. The farm field has a barn which holds farm equipment and serves as a space for the processing of farm produce.

What We Grow

We grow many varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers organically or as naturally as possible. Most of the harvest is used to feed our residents and visitors. Our farm is Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) which is an alternative to USDA certified organic.
